Us sophisticated Volvo owners can’t be bothered with plebeian soft cover repair manuals.

I’d ask for your money back, this is obliviously a fake, they put the wheel on the wrong side.

I thought all of the Books Of Lies were hardback. None of my recent cars have had one though.

I would also getting a totally legal and in no way pirated and cracked copy of VITA off eBay. Factory repair manual, very detailed, but must be run in Windows 7 only to work, which is kinda lame. I have mine running in a VM.

Pfff, you have to turn pages?

Spend like $200 and get a dedicated VIDA/Dice unit and you can diagnose issues and then read the full service manual with instructions on how to fix things. There are guys on swedespeed.com who sell them.

My 940 is hardcover too.
haven’t seen any other hardcover except for the novelty ones for fighter jets and scifi vehicles.

I’ll probably have to do this. Because this manual doesn’t cover the turbo engine, just the NA 5 cylinder and the diesel. All though I would imagine for most things it wouldn’t be an issue.

Turning pages is classier than scrolling through a tablet!

I have the plebeian soft cover Service Manual for a car I don’t even own yet...does that make it better?

Haha Hey, I gotta admit, paper does have a lot of nice things going for it. For one thing, it’s easier to bookmark and flip back and forth between chapters. And I sure do prefer looking at pages over staring at a screen.
But sometimes that search function is just the best thing ever.

It wouldn’t run in a compatibility mode?

I didn’t try. I think some people have had success on Vista and Win 8 though? I’ve heard Win10 in a pain.

I might need a copy for mine, I forget she’s turning 14 this year!

Depending which engine you have, I think I’d rather just save up for the factory service manual, since this one doesn’t cover the turbo, just the NA 2.4. Although for minor stuff it probably doesn’t matter.

I would bet 90% of the fixes you might ever need can be found on Swedespeed too.

T5 AWD 6MT, thanks for the heads up. The most important stuff to me would be suspention torque specs. It’s too bad it doesn’t cover the T5. Mainly because it has a completely diffferent accessory drive than the T5 in a similar year S60, and some other modifications to fit the P1 cars.
